The Late, Great
IVORY JOE HUNTER
Ivory Joe was a very influential R&B; vocalist and piano player. He would have been 91 years old today if he hadn’t died from lung cancer in 1974. We look at a true R&B; legend, tonight on the Night Prowl Show.
Congratulations to Otis Williams & The Charms, who defeated The Safaris over the song “Image Of A Girl” on the Friday Night Cat Fight.
The great SMILEY LEWIS passed away 39 years ago today from stomach cancer. We honor Smiley tonight on the show.
Plus, the Friday Night Cat Fight gets intense as two vocal groups go up against each other for the Friday Night prize.
