She’s one of the first women of not only rhythm and blues, but also rock n’ roll. She began her career singing under the moniker “Little Miss Sharecropper” while cutting sides for Savoy Records. While recording for Atlantic Records, she scored numerous pop and R&B; hits including “Jim Dandy”, “Tweedlee Dee” and “I Cried A Tear”. We’re going to cue up some of her greatest R&B; records, this week on HARLEM.

Tuesday night 5/13 @ 9pm over Central Ave in LA & midnight over Burlington, VT
Friday evening 5/16 @ 6pm over Revere, MA
