Thanksgiving In Nebraska

What I did over my Thanksgiving...

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, I left the Satellites of Rock and Roll to journey to a part of the country I had never been before; Nebraska. Want proof? Here's a picture of me riding my first tracker in Schuyler. Thanks to Seth of the hot rod gang, The Contenders for showing me how to drive it and for letting me feed his sheep. Having come from the East Coast, I've never seen such flat land as they have in Nebraska. The wind never stops blowing. I feel like a got a real understanding of the restlessness that exists out there. No wonder some of the greatest music ever made came from the mid-west. Omaha was a nice town, but it was Lincoln that I really dug. They have some great vinyl stores still going strong in this little college town. There was definitely energy and creativity in the air. Now Nebraska isn't just a great, stark Bruce Springsteen record anymore to me. My eyes have been opened. Oh, and the beer is nice and cheap out there too.

Prowlers say NO to BOONE!
Outter Space - Night Prowlers were not afraid to speak up when their furry leader asked them what they thought of the Long Island Bob initiative to nominate Pat Boone to be apart of the Friday Night Cat Fight. The Cats n' Kitten spoke up all right, with a rousing "NO". Pat Boone certainly has his supporters and the "NO" vote was not unanimous by any means, but Mr. Boone will NOT be featured in this week's cat fight. When asked exactly why, Matt The Cat said, "I fear a riot would ensue from America's largest cities to its smallest towns. That's a chance I just can't take. " When asked if Pat Boone will ever be allowed back in the Friday Night Cat Fight, Mr. Cat replied, "Who knows. It's too soon to tell. But if I were Pat Boone, I'd stay far away from the Night Prowl Show". Boone is reportedly seeking amnesty and shelter with Ken Smith. More details when they develop.

Wednesday

Earl "Speedo" Carroll of The Cadillacs is 68 today!

We're dedicating the show to the birthday boy, even though it's WEST COAST WEDNESDAY and Earl is an East Coast guy. So tonight's show will have a nice balance of East Coast and West Coast Doo Wop. The Cadillacs will represent Harlem, NY, while LA brings out its finest; The Penguins, The Jaguars, Dick Dale, Ritchie Valans and many, many more.

So it's a East Coast WEST COAST WEDNESDAY, tonight on at 4pm PST - 7pm EST on the Night Prowl Show with Matt The Cat.
