Mardi Gras In New Orleans

This week’s Friday Night Cat Fight takes us down to The Big Easy for a New Orleans themed Cat Fight Show.  The battle royale this week is between two natives of New Orleans doing slightly different versions of the same song.  We begin with “Jock-A-Mo” from Sugar Boy Crawford & His Cane Cutters from 1953.  It’s up against The Dixie Cups classic top 20 hit from 1965, “Iko Iko”.  Only you can decide who will take the Mardi Gras Friday Night Cat Fight.  Grab a hurricane and dig, baby, dig.  Where ya at?

The Valentine’s Day Friday Night Cat Fight

Congratulations to Amos Milburn who won last week’s Cat Fight with over 50% of the vote.  He defeated both Chuck Berry AND The Rolling Stones over the song, “Down The Road Apiece.”

This week, we’re back to the 2-way Cat Fight battle format, featuring Clyde McPhatter and Tom Jones.  Both cats give a great R&B performance, but only one can be declared the victor and that choice is up to you, Cats n’ Kittens.  So listen to the new 40 minute Cat Fight show with the Valentine’s theme of “Hearts” and then vote on the World Famous Friday Night Cat Fight.

Friday Night Cat Fight EXTENDED to Half Hour Show!

This is a big week for the Friday Night Cat Fight.  First off, congratulations to The Five Keys, who won the past five consecutive Cat Fights and are now inducted into the MattTheCat.com “Alley Of Fame”.  Now that they are in the “Alley”, they can no longer compete in a future Cat Fight.

This week, we have 2 firsts on The Friday Night Cat Fight.  For the first time, 3 cats will compete for your vote in a Cat Fight 3-Way! AND, the segment has now been extended to 30 plus minutes of music, which all revolves around a theme.  Since tonight’s Cat Fight is “Down The Road Apiece”, I’ve chosen “ROADS” as our theme.  Dig on the music and vote for the version of “Down The Road Apiece” that you truly DIG THE MOST. Let me know what you think of the new format in the “comments” section after you vote.  Enjoy!
