Harlem was a weekly 1950s rhythm & blues show that aired on XM Satellite Radio's 50s on 5 from February of 2002 to October of 2008. It featured everything from individual artist profiles to entire features on classic record label catalogs. My purpose and dream for Harlem was to share the love and respect that I have for R&B with the rest of America. I feel that post WWII R&B was absolutely vital to the birth of rock n' roll and largely gets ignored in music history. I want everyone to know how important Professor Longhair, Johnny Otis, Dave Bartholomew, Larry Darnell and Wynonie "Mr. Blues" Harris are to music and social history in general.
