…see you when the summer’s through

Work Songs

Well, it’s Labor Day Weekend again and with summer at an end and work about to pick up, I thought I’d give you a glimpse of some of the jobs out there that might be harder and more uncomfortable than yours (that is if you are currently working).  The feature this week is on “Work Songs” and man we’ve got ’em.  We’ll go from working in a coal mine and working on a chain gang to just trying to find a job and just getting by.  We’ll hear from The Isley Brothers, Nina Simone, Wynonie “Mr. Blues” Harris and many more.  Lee Dorsey even gets 2 songs in this week’s show!

Since September is here, I thought we’d vote on your favorite version of “See You In September”.  Listen to the songs on the podcast and vote for the one you truly dig the most.

And…um…don’t work too hard, baby!

The Tempos for me for sure. Another wonderful show so much of the music that I had never heard before, you sure do a good job of digging up great tunes. Keep it up, and Thank you again.

Thanks so much again, Matt. I didn’t realize you’d done 43 cat fights so far. I’ve heard every one, including the tester. It’s hard to believe they used to be only 10 minutes long. If I had any clout with Sirius-XM, or anywhere for that matter, I’d make sure you were back on the air today! There’s no workin’ man more deserving. Best Labor Day weekend to you and CCK.

Although my age puts me in the era of the Happenings version on the radio, the Tempos get my vote. I liked the mellow, bossa nova beat……and Matt, don’t forget the chaaaa-coal this labor day weekend.

Man, it’s a good thing it’s Friday. All that working left me tired out. It seems like 43 cat fights have flown by! Matt, we really appreciate what you do here. But, you’re right..you need to be working. It’s a shame to not be able to bring your talent to a larger audience. Here’s hoping for better days for all of us needing a job.
And the Tempos get the call tonight.
    A great weekend to everyone.

    Yo Furry leader
That was a great work songs special. I worked up a sweat just listening to it. I really enjoyed all the songs about work, although, I have Maynard G Krebbs syndrome. WORK? LOL
As far as the cat fight goes, since only one of us can vote, I let my wife pick this one. She voted for the happenings, though I’d have voted for the Tempos. It’s hard to beleive that there have been 43 cat fight podcasts already. Time’s sure fun when you’re havin flies, wait I think I got that backwards. LOL
Anyway, thanks for the great cat fight shows. Keep em comin, and hope you can get back to work, on the air soon. and back where we can all hear you. Sure wish I could help with that,
You’re the best. kEEP ON PROWLIN!!!!
